How to use Suggested Channel Replies with Disco AI
Suggested Channel Replies help you manage questions across channels by detecting queries and suggesting responses in real time. You can edit and approve these replies before posting.
Step 1: Connect Slack to your Disco community
- Log in to your Disco account.
- Go to Admin Area > Integrations.
Click Slack, then follow the prompts to connect your Slack workspace.
This allows Disco AI to detect questions and deliver suggestions in Slack.
Step 2: Configure monitored channels
- Go to Admin Area > Disco AI > Community Engagement.
- Click Edit.
- In the Details tab, configure the following for Q&A Suggestions:
- Disco Channel Monitored: Channels inside your Disco community
- Slack Channel Monitored: Slack channels to monitor
Slack Admin Channel: Where suggested answers appear for review
This setup lets Disco AI know where to look for questions and where to send suggestions.
Step 3: Review and post AI suggestions
Once you’ve finished setup, Disco AI monitors the selected channels and generates suggested replies. To use:
- Review the AI-generated reply in the selected Disco channels or your Slack Admin Channel.
- Edit if needed.
- Approve and post it to the channel.
This keeps your community engagement fast, consistent, and on-brand.

Can Disco AI monitor multiple channels at once?
Yes. It can monitor several channels in Slack and Disco at the same time.
Where do AI suggestions appear?
In Disco, suggestions show up in the monitored thread. In Slack, they go to the Slack Admin Channel for review.
Is the data used by Disco AI secure?
Yes. Disco AI only uses your community’s approved sources and does not share data with model providers for training. See our Data Usage Policy for more.
