Learning Pathways Member Experience

About This Feature

Learning Pathways can be set so your Members can self-register for a Learning Pathway.

How It Works

Members can browse available pathways under the ‘All’ or ‘Pathways’ tabs in the Explore area.

  • Selecting a Pathway provides a detailed description of the learning sequence on the registration page or drawer.
  • Upon registration, members will be taken to the pathway dashboard to gain immediate access to the first Pathway Group.
  • From there, members can register for all Products within the group immediately.

Pathway Completion

  • A Product is considered complete when 100% of its curriculum is finished.
  • Events and resource collections do not count toward Product completion.
  • Products within a Pathway Group can be completed in any order.
  • Members must complete all Products in one Pathway Group before advancing to the next Pathway Group.
  • A Pathway is completed only when the final Pathway Group is completed. A Pathway Group is considered complete when all products within it are completed.

How To Register for a Learning Pathway - The Member Experience

  1. Navigate to the Explore area.
  2. Select the ‘All’ tab or the ‘Pathways’ tab to browse available Pathways.
  3. Click on a Pathway of interest to view its detailed description on the registration page or drawer.
  4. When ready, click the “Register Now” button.

  5. Members will be redirected to the pathway dashboard and will gain immediate access to the first Pathway Group.
  6. Register for the Products within the first Pathway Group to begin learning.

  7. Continue through each Pathway Group until all are completed to finish the pathway.

Important Considerations

  • Members can complete Products within a Pathway Group in any order, but must finish all Products within one group before advancing to the next group.
  • If Members complete a course out of order, they won't see their progress reflected in the Pathway dashboard until they complete the prerequisites for the group containing that course.
  • Products with ‘Public’ or ‘Member Only’ accessibility settings included in a Pathway can still be viewed and registered independently outside the pathway. To prevent this, set the access setting to ‘Hidden.’
  • If a member has completed all the courses within a Pathway before registering, they will instantly "complete" the Pathway as soon as they join.

FAQs

Q: Can a member take products in any order within a Pathway Group?
A: Yes, products within a Pathway Group can be taken in any order, one or multiple at a time.

Q: What happens if a member does not complete all products in one Pathway Group?
A: Members must complete all products within one Pathway Group before advancing to the next group.

Q:  What happens if a member registers for a course outside of a Pathway, then later joins a Pathway that includes the same course?
A: If a member has already registered for or completed the course before enrolling in the Pathway, their progress will be carried over to the Pathway. They do not need to register for or complete the course again.
Q: What if course A is in a later Pathway Group that has prerequisites, but the course is also available publicly?
A: A: If course A is publicly available and the member hasn’t unlocked the pathway group containing it, they can still register for and complete the course separately. However, the Pathway group containing course A will remain locked until all prerequisites are met. This means members can complete certain courses out of sequence if they are publicly available, but they won’t be able to finish the Pathway until all requirements are met.
