How to create a course curriculum with Disco AI
Disco AI uses your content and instructions to generate full curriculums with modules, lessons, assignments, and quizzes.
Step 1: Set up your product
- Go to the Learning tab in your Disco workspace
- Click + Add Product in the top right
- Select a template: Cohort-Based Course or Self-Paced Course is recommended
- Open the Curriculum app from the product’s sidebar
Step 2: Set up your AI input
- Select Generate Curriculum with AI
- Enter a detailed prompt: include the course title, key topics, and preferred structure
- Upload or link supporting content (videos, PDFs, URLs, existing lessons)
- (Optional) Enable Web Search or Community Context to pull in supplemental content
Step 3: Generate the curriculum preview
- Click enter and wait a few minutes while Disco AI creates your outline
- Preview the generated curriculum preview with modules, lessons, quizzes, and assignments based on your input
- Edit as needed: use prompts directly on the canvas or in the chat interface
Step 4: Generate the curriculum
- Click Generate Curriculum
- Wait a few minutes while Disco AI generates your content
- Review and edit the curriculum as needed
