What This Does
You'll control what prospective members see when they land on your community's registration page, including the page design, custom terms and conditions, and onboarding guidelines.
What To Know First
- Requires Admin access
- Your community must be set to Public for the registration page to be visible to non-members
- The registration page is separate from individual product or membership registration pages
- Adding a terms and conditions checkbox is optional and independent of Disco's own Terms of Service
How To Edit Your Community Registration Page
- Go to Settings and confirm your community is set to Public.
- Navigate to Products > Public Pages.
- Find your community registration page in the list.
- Click to open the page.
- Use the inline editor to update the cover image, description, and layout.
- Click Save.
How To Add a Custom Terms and Conditions Checkbox
If you need members to agree to your own terms, privacy policy, or participation agreement before they register:
- Go to Settings > Registration.
- Click Add a Checkbox.
- Enter your checkbox label (for example: "I agree to the Upskill Terms of Service").
- Add the URL to your terms and conditions page in the link field.
- Click Save.
Members will need to check this box before completing registration.
How To Add Community Guidelines During Onboarding
You can also present community guidelines as part of the new member onboarding flow. This is different from the terms and conditions checkbox because there's no "I agree" confirmation required. It's informational only.
This is configured within the onboarding settings and shows guidelines to new members after they register.
Common Questions
Q: What's the difference between the registration page and a product public page?
A: The community registration page is your main sign-up page for new members joining the community. Product public pages are separate landing pages for individual programs, each with their own customization options under Products > Public Pages.
Q: Can I require members to agree to my terms before registering?
A: Yes. Add a checkbox under Settings > Registration with a link to your terms page. Members won't be able to complete registration without checking it.
Q: Is the community guidelines step the same as terms and conditions?
A: No. Community guidelines appear during onboarding as informational content. There's no agreement checkbox. If you need a formal "I agree" confirmation, use the terms and conditions checkbox on the registration page instead.
Q: Do I need to set my community to Public for the registration page to work?
A: Yes. The registration page is only visible externally when your community is set to Public in Settings.
