About This Feature
Curriculum Prerequisites enable you to structure a learning journey that guides Members through a cohesive and organized Curriculum progression.
How It Works
By preventing access to content in later modules until specific Prerequisites are fulfilled, Members have a more focused and effective learning experience. Members receive clear guidance on which items need completion before unlocking further content.
Prerequisites can be set at the Module level or the Individual Content level.
Setting up a Prerequisite at the Module level
1. Locate the Prerequisite toggle in the Module Setting
When creating a new module or editing an existing Module, locate the toggle for setting up prerequisites above the “Add Associate Events” option:
2. Define the Prerequisites
Select at least one Module members must complete before they can access the current module. Select multiple Modules or a single Module, then click “Done”. Please note that you can only select modules before the current module:
3. Review and Save
Click on the “x” icon to remove a module from being a prerequisite, then click “Create Module” or “Save Changes” if you are making a change to an existing module:
4. Look for the lock icon for Modules that have Prerequisites
Once saved, the Module that has prerequisites will be marked with a lock icon. View information on the Prerequisite setup on a module and decide if you want to make any changes here:

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Can the Admin set Prerequisites for individual items?
Yes, each piece of content in a Curriculum Module can be set for Prerequisites. Please note that you can only select content in the same Module and before the current content.
2. What happens if there are multiple Prerequisites in one module?
Members must complete all Prerequisite content in the Module to advance to subsequent ones. If they have only completed 1 of 2 Prerequisites, they will receive a message letting them know which items must be completed before they can progress.
3. When “View as Member” is selected, will the Admin be blocked on the Prerequisite item?
Yes. The Admin will also be blocked on the gated items when viewing as a Member. This helps the Admin know that the Prerequisite is working as intended.
4. Do Members need to mark each content as "Complete" to access content gated by Prerequisite requirements?
Yes, to access content gated by Prerequisite requirements, Members must click the “Mark as Complete” button for each piece of content. This action ensures they have completed the necessary Prerequisites and unlocks access to the subsequent content.
